JetAir takes off with SifyM@il
India’s leading airline company Jet Airways recently migrated their email system from ccMail to Sify Enterprise Mail Server (SEMS) - an enterprise class eMail solution which is part of the SifyM@il suite of corporate messaging solutions. The new SifyM@il mail system leverages JetAir’s VPN to connect ticketing centres, cargo holds, alliance setups and Jet Airways’ offices across 77 cities over a secure channel.
JetAir’s mail system now unites all users under a common domain name (user@jetair.com), allows global roaming and, using the innovative SMTP Relay tool, relays outward bound mails without exposing JetAir’s internal mail server to the Internet.

Major publishing house chooses Beacon to manage its WAN
Chennai based Kasturi
& Sons Ltd. - publishers of ‘The Hindu’, and one
of India’s premier media houses recently choose
the pathbreaking new, Beacon Network Infrastructure
Manage- ment solution from Sify for monitoring
and managing its business critical wide area network
(WAN). The criticality of managing the network’s
uptime can be guaged by the fact that The Hindu’s
IT network forms the foundation on which the newspaper’s
regional editions feed off to deliver news to
readers every morning. The Hindu’s operations
are centralised with its publishing software residing
on servers housed in their Chennai office. Its
various publishing centres spread across most
of South India and Delhi continuously access these
servers for printing their local editions.
Beacon will help ‘The Hindu’ monitor and manage its servers, links, software applications and critical network elements for analysis.
