Sify DocImage to preserve DLF's documents

Installation of document management solution "Sify DocImage Enterprise" at DLF for scanning Customer records & Drawings (up to A0 size) enabled the company to store 60 lac sheets and 30,000 drawings. Sify used a combination of filming and scanning to get the best results.

Challenges :

The documents (legal documents, customer files, etc.) and drawings (ammonia blue prints, building architecture, etc.) are stored physically in one part of Delhi.

Whenever the documents or drawings are required for any reference or some other work, a person has to physically travel a long distance to get these documents. This affected the productivity and also delays. Also, documents were susceptible to wear & tear of documents and drawings due to improper handling. The document and drawing need to be maintained life long. Retrieval of information was time intensive. Fear of documents getting destroyed due to natural factors was also to be considered.

The Sify Solution

Sify's offering was two-fold. Scanning Services for scanning DLF Customer records & Drawings (up to A0 size) - 60 LAC sheets & 30,000 drawings. Sify installed its document management solution "Sify DocImage Enterprise" for DLF personnel to use across the enterprise. With an objective to deliver the best, Sify used a combination of filming and scanning to get the best results.
