Security
Services Division sets up Competency Centre at
Mumbai
At Sify's Prabhadevi,
Mumbai office, a new network is in place. Simulating
a typical corporate Intranet, this network will
serve as a competency demonstrator for the Sify
Enterprise Security Services division. The Competency
Centre showcases various security products and
services offered by Sify and will demonstrate
among other things:
- Bandwidth management using the
traffic shaping feature available in Netscreen
firewall systems
- Multi-vendor VPNs using various
firewalls
- Network protection using Intrusion
Detection Systems (IDS) and gateway level anti-virus
products
- Techniques to build stronger
authentication using RSA solution
- Remote network monitoring and
management tools
- Options in perimeter security
using Netscreen, PIX, Watchguard, and Checkpoint
firewalls.
